Existence

For those whose
Existence is a routine
Of day-to-day chores just
To stay alive this pandemic
Is a reminder to others
Of the limitations on
Life many must be
Ruled by due to
Conditions on
Us by age or
Disease or
Whatever
Limit life
Has set
For us
So if
You
Feel your
Life is just
Existence then
Push your envelope
To the limit doing all you
Can do not all you gotta do.
Eat chocolate, save the endolphins.
Talk or text with your many friends
Sit outside in the sun or shade
Listen to the rain patter on
The roof watch each sun
Set or rise and eat out
For a change asking
Family to visit you
Since you cannot
As easily visit
Them and
Know if
You’ll
Reach out
Others will take
Your hand in theirs.
I did and would again.
Know we will never betray
Nor abandon you so smile at
Existence laugh at yourself
Giggle at death and do
Smile as you roll your
Eyes reading this
From your old
Friend for
Always.
Flirt with
Eyes cast
Down then
Knock em over
When you look up
And break into a smile.
Life is a cruise so take a
Few excursions as we did.
You are seldom far
From my mind
And fondly
Thought
About.
