Has become prey to all
Those whose interests are
Profit not the dignity of the one
Who is approaching their end.
We have made it possible to
Prolong life where there is
No pleasure in living just
Profits for what is said
To be caregiving but
Is too often waiting
For the relief of
The end of a
Life too frail
To enjoy.
Until
Our money
Runs out and
We are sent to
A less fashionable
Place to die where the
Care given is less careful.
If the game of life is not
Worth the candle cost
Then we should each
Have the right to say
This is enough and
I am ready for the
Next adventure
Far from the
Cares of
Man.
