Clouds II
I look out my rehab
Window at the gray
Quilt of clouds passing
Overhead toward the
South catching a patch
Of blue time to time,
A magic carpet flying
In the sky out of reach
Until technology revealed
The cloud tops bare of
Riders or magic beings.
Will our exploration of
Our solar system yield
To the tech wizards or
Will we find amazements
Now unimaginable beyond.
And will the heart yield to
Exploration its desires
Both constant and
Inconstant or the
Yearnings that
Overpower
Reason or
Logic
Leading us
Ahead at passion’s
Pace in a leap of faith
We two will be happy
Together despite
The doubts of
Tech wizards,
Comfortable
As a couple
Content
With
One
Another
In love with
Our other
Self thus
Twice in
Love?
I think of
Her smile
And say
Yes.
