Dog

Some dogs are
Like a furry fuzzy
House plant you
Hold in your lap,
Others want to
Run circles herding
Anything together.
Some are sweet
Some are fierce
All are pack
Animals loyal
Above all else.
The more I am
Around dogs the
More I like them,
Perhaps I have
Become part
Of the pack.
Dogs practice
Sand mandala,
The intricate Tibetan
Sand patterns that
Symbolize the
Universe and take over
A week to meticulously
Create grain by grain,
But when complete
They are immediately
Destroyed to symbolize
Life which is how a
Dog sees life
The universe
Themselves
And us,
All in the
Moment all
Ending but
Beautiful
While we last.
Until a celestial hand
Ends our pattern
Or a bit of wind
Changes us
Into our next
Creation.
