Dream

I dreamed of her
And waking remembered
Her smile her laugh the
Curves of her form in
The half-light of a
Candle’s flicker
Across her
Body
And
Then she spoke
Her voice casually
Familiar like a
Comfortable
Hat or soft
Gloves
And
I woke
Wondering
What was about
To happen but
Must wait for
The deja to
Catch up
With the
Vu.
She lingers
On my memory
Like a vision through
A rainy window pane too
Dangerous to meet but
Too beautiful to stop
Dreaming about,
In time memory
Will fade but
I will miss
Her
Smile
And eyes
Peeking out
At me from
Under the
Covers
As
She rolls her eyes.
