Ready

I was ready to go
Back to Texas to teach
And resume being a Texan
But she asked me if she were
To ask me to stay then what would
I do as she had asked me earlier
To go so I answered I would
Drop all my plans and
Preparations and
Stay with her in
Southern CA.
She thought
About it for
Two days
And then
Asked
Me to
Stay,
So I
Did.
Now
We are
Growing
Seamless
Despite her
Grown children’s
Fears she may be
Unhappy and unaware
Of how they feel she
Should feel as they
Love her though
She takes her
Time to be
Of one
Mind,
Once she
Makes up her
Mind she is
Ready to
Roll the
Dice.
I was
Born ready.
