Diabetic
With vascular
Cardiac problems
I am unaware of until
I am gone so when I got
Back to San Diego from my
Trip to Texas to see my sister
And family around Houston plus
My wanderings around southeast
Texas and down to Galveston then
Through the airports and planes,
I noticed my first evening back
Home a sore throat that by
Late evening was bad but
I concentrated on using
My old scuba lessons
On breathing much
Like the hospital
Breathing to
Avoid post
Operative
Pneumonia
And by morning
My sore throat was
A bit better and after
Rest and naps I was well
By a day or two so I wonder
How light a case of coronavirus
One can experience but meanwhile
I hibernate late this Springtime
Just in case though I am
Aware I am expendable
And hope the young
Who catch this
Virus survive
To grow old
Like me
Happy,
Not
Sick
Not
Tired
As age
And treachery
Always overcome
Youth and enthusiasm
Unless you get coronavirus.
