I am a 9th-
Grader in an
Art class where
I draw two pen and
Ink sketches of a tree
And a boat which decades
Later I have lithographed and
Sell to stores then more decades
Pass and I am lecturing on ships
Around the world so when my
Audience sticks around to
Discus whatever history
Covered I give them a
Copy of the prints
As a gift for their
Interest in my
Lecture and
Now I do
The same
For barbers’
Haircuts or good
Service at cafes or
To my neighbors and
New friends by the lake
Since I have a stock to use
Up while I can waiting to cruise
Again and give to room stewards
And staff but what surprises
Me is how much pleasure
Folks get from a gift
We make ourself
A drawing or a
Game or even
Some poor
Poem like
